Festival will be held on November 30th at 15.40, in Main Campus Sport Center. There will be music, TAE-BO, games about Olympic Ideals, Olympiarts Village design etc. Everyone is invited.

In this project, we try to increase awareness about olympic ideals via art.

As young people from several universities such as Bilkent, METU and Gazi, we believe that olympic games and sports are more than struggle. Through sports and olympic games, different cultures come together, biases against others can be prevented.

In this project main target group is young people just like project group. They attended to seminars to have knowledge about history of olympic games and ideas. In these seminars they could also have chance to learn how personal excellence is important for olympism and sports, and how modern olympic games could take role to establish peace and cultural understanding among nations where humanity, modernity and civilization couldn't end unequality, discrimination, enmity. Besides sports as education and fair play are also implemented in seminars who were given by professors from Turkey.

After seminars, motivated and informed young people have a chance to live how these values are important in ideal workshops. They made brainstorming and had ideas and thoughts about olympic values. Ideal workshops prepared by professional educators were useful for attenders to internalize topics in the seminars.

Thirdly, we organized six art workshops: painting, photographing, sculpture, graphic-design, short movie and music.

After organizing these workshops, reaching more people is next aim. Sharing them how olympic values are important and outcomes of art workshops will be done in festival. We have made a festival in METU already and a next bigger one will be done in October in Bilkent University where there will be mass numbers of young people who are going to be willing to take part in such a festival. In this festival there will be games to make festival participants live olympic values, make their own art and also other activities to take part.
